El Norte (Baja, Sonora, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Durango, Zacatecas, Aquascalientes, Nuevo Leon, Tamaulipas)
Northern Mexico is an informal term for the northern cultural and geographical area in Mexico. As well as the Spanish and the Indigenous people, Northern Mexico has received Lebanese, Jewish, Portuguese, Chinese, Irish, German, Italian and Spanish immigrants. All this mixture of cultures has strongly influenced the cuisine.
