Bienmesabe

Bienmesabe has several variations around the world, Andalusian bienmesabe is a marzipan-like, ground almond cake, this differs from bienmesabe canario from the Canary Islands, which is more of a custard or syrup, and from Venezuelan bienmesabe, which is made with coconut instead of almonds, the Puerto Rico version is made with lady fingers or sponge cake
