Tzatziki - The World's Food

Time: 10 minutes + 3 hours
The perfect Greek yogurt and cucumber dip for pitas and gyros.

Ingredients

32   ounces full-fat Greek yogurt
1   large coarsely grated English cucumber
10   minced garlic cloves
3   Tablespoons red wine vinegar
2/3   teaspoon salt
1/4   teaspoon black pepper

Preparation

Step 1
Add yogurt to a large mixing bowl and whisk it until smooth 

Step 2
Squeeze most of the water from the grated cucumber using your hands, then add it to the mixing bowl

Step 3
Add garlic, vinegar, salt and pepper, then mix until all ingredients are incorporated together

Step 4
Cover and refrigerate at least 3 hours before serving, though overnight is best

Step 5
Serve with warm pita bread or on gyros
