Pumpkin Spice Sugar Cookies - The World's Food

Crumbl copycat sugar cookies topped with delicious pumpkin spice frosting
Ingredients

1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder

1 to 2 Tablespoons milk
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
3/4 teaspoon ground ginger
3/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves

Preheat oven to 350 F

Start with the cookie dough by creaming together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy

Scrape the sides and add the eggs and vanilla extract, then blend thoroughly

Scrape the sides again and slowly add the all-purpose flour, followed by the baking powder

Blend until thoroughly combined

For each cookie, scoop ¼ cup of dough onto a baking mat or sheet

Six cookies per batch is the limit

Flatten the cookie dough using the bottom of a measuring cup or glass sprayed with some cooking spray to prevent sticking. You can use a twisting motion while lifting up, and re-spray as needed

Bake at 350 F for 9-11 minutes. The centers of the cookies should no longer have a glossy sheen to them

Cool cookies completely at room temperature before topping with frosting

Make the frosting by first blending the butter until smooth
Step 12
Slowly add the powdered sugar, vanilla extract and just enough milk until the frosting has a smooth, spreadable consistency

Add cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, allspice and cloves. Blend thoroughly

Add a generous amount of frosting to each cookie and spread decoratively
