Traditionally-brewed iced coffee from Vietnam made with Trung Nguyên coffee grounds, a unique blend of Arabica and Robusta coffee beans and chocolate

Ingredients

1-3     tablespoons ground Vietnamese coffee such as Trung Nguyên
1     tablespoon sweetened condensed milk, or to taste
1     cup water, heated to 200 F
8     ice cubes, or as desired

Preparation

Step 1
Add sweetened condensed milk to a drinking glass or coffee mug

Step 2
Remove screw-down insert from brew chamber of Vietnamese coffee filter

Step 3
Place drip tray on top of drinking glass or coffee mug

Step 4
Place brew chamber on top of drip tray

Step 5
Add 1-3 Tablespoons ground coffee to brew chamber

Step 6
Add screw-down insert to brew chamber and screw the insert until it packs the coffee slightly, then unscrew a full turn to create a little space for the brewing step

Step 7
Add 1 ounce (30 mL) hot water to pre-wet the coffee, then wait 30 seconds

Step 8
Fill brew chamber with hot water, cover with lid and wait 3-10 minutes

Step 9
Remove coffee filter from drinking glass, stir coffee into condensed milk and add ice

Notes: 
- A traditional Vietnamese coffee filter and Vietnamese coffee are recommended to ensure authentic flavor 
- Vietnamese coffee is a blend of Arabica and Robusta beans with added chocolate flavor
- Pre-wetting the coffee grounds allows the coffee to expand prior to brewing
- Brew time varies and depends on how finely the coffee is ground and on how tightly it is packed in the brew chamber
